Did you know that you have 2 minutes in the event of a fire to get out safely? Our homes are filled with materials that give off toxic smoke and are extremely flammable. Working smoke alarms are a huge success story, because they give you early warning signs to get out quickly. Since 2006, our Community Smoke Alarm Program has installed thousands of 10-year, battery sealed, dual-sensor smoke alarms — the best protection available on the market — in low-income and high-risk areas across Arizona. Our installations are often complemented with smoke alarm education in the schools. In addition, we are one of only two organizations in the state installing Deaf and Hard of Hearing smoke alarm systems where needed. Our efforts prevent home fire deaths and burn injuries for Arizona children and adults every year.
